(VOVWORLD) - Ambassador Dang Dinh Quy, Vietnam’s Permanent Representative to the UN, has called on all parties to cease military hostilities and spare no effort to work with the UN Secretary-General’s Special Envoy Martin Griffiths, regional partners and the international community in securing an acceptance of the United Nations-led peace proposal for Yemen.

Addressing the UN Security Council’s meeting on the Yemen situation on Tuesday, the Ambassador welcomed some improvement in humanitarian activities compared to the same period last year, but he urged more efforts to ensure that humanitarian programs run smoothly and stably.
The Vietnamese representative urged the parties to step up the implementation of the Stockholm Agreement and the Riyadh Agreement with the UN mediation role.
