Deputy Minister of Finance Tran Xuan Ha said the framework aims to mobilise private capital and develop financial markets for infrastructure, thus helping Vietnam achieve its priorities in the field in the near future.
“Vietnam has huge demand for infrastructure capital, about 195 billion USD in the near future. Energy, roads, bridges, aviation, clean water supply, and waste treatment are very important to Vietnam’s economy. We hope our cooperation with the US will create mechanisms to mobilize private capital resources and develop a financial market for infrastructure development,” Ha said.
