Vietnam, US seek to promote post COVID-19 trade of footwear
(VOVWORLD) -Vietnamese businesses and US importers will discuss ways to promote post COVID-19 trade of footwear from May 28 to 30.

Their online meeting will be organized by the Vietnamese Department for Trade Promotion, the Vietnamese Trade Office in the US, and the Footwear Distributors and Retailers of America (FDRA). Both sides will assess prospects and their resilience to the new situation, introduce Vietnam’s policies on footwear development and trade activities with the US market, the leading importer of Vietnamese footwear in the context of COVID-19 under control in Vietnam and the US.
In April, Vietnam’s footwear sector saw a reduction of 6.6% in total export value to 1.3 billion USD month-on-month, according to the Ministry of Industry and Trade.
