(VOVworld) – Vietnamese ambassador to the US Pham Quang Vinh told VOV that Vietnam and the US will hold a number of activities in 2015 to mark 20 years of normalized ties.
Vinh said Vietnam-US relations were elevated to the level of comprehensive cooperative partnership in 2013, which will be the guiding framework for bilateral ties in the years ahead. He said: “Commemorative activities should include high-level visits to demonstrate our respect and efforts to boost bilateral ties through agreements which might be signed during such visits. Celebratory activities will be held in both capitals. The Vietnamese and the US embassy will hold a number of activities in July, the month when the two countries normalized relations 20 years ago.”
Ambassador Vinh said that the two countries have a great potential for cooperation in trade, science, technology, and education.
