(VOVworld) - Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc hosted a reception in Hanoi on Monday for newly accredited Danish Ambassador to Vietnam Charlotte Laursen.

He thanked the Danish Government for its ODA provision for Vietnam, saying that the capital has been used effectively in Vietnam’s prioritized fields like poverty reduction, public governance, administrative reform, environment and climate change response.
The Vietnamese government is implementing a lot of policies to facilitate the long-term operations of foreign enterprises in Vietnam, including those from Denmark. The PM noted that bilateral trade of more than 500 million USD was modest compared with the two sides’ potential.
He hoped both countries would intensify cooperation in economics, trade, investment, green growth, education, hi-tech agriculture and ship building. The Danish ambassador said the Danish Foreign Minister would visit Vietnam this October to seek more measures to step up trade cooperation. She also affirmed that she would do her utmost to boost trade and investment ties between the two countries.
