(VOVworld) – Vietnam pledges to make effective use of ADB loans for its socio-economic development, said Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung at a Thursday meeting with the President of Asian Development Bank, Takehiko Nakao, in Hanoi.

Mr. Dung thanked ADB for supporting Vietnam’s development by providing capital and policy advice, adding that Vietnam values and wants to further its cooperation with ADB. Takehiko Nakao praised Vietnam’s socioeconomic achievements during its renewal process and its measures to stabilise its macro economy, control inflation, reform state-owned enterprises, and restore growth.
