(VOVworld) – Vietnamese chess players won 13 medals including 2 golds at the recent 2017 Asian Youth Chess Championships in Uzbekistan.

The gold medals went to Pham Tran Gia Phuc in the U12 category and Nguyen Quoc Hy in the U8 category. The event, which consisted of Standard, Rapid, and Blitz formats, drew chess players aged 8 to 18 from 17 Asian countries.
