Vietnam wins gold to open Asian Open Taekwondo Championship
(VOVWORLD) - Vietnam won three gold medals on Thursday, the first day of the 2nd Asian Open Taekwondo Championship in Ho Chi Minh City.
The first Taekwondo gold medal of the Vietnamese team goes to trio Nguyen Thi Kim Ha, Le Tran Kim Uyen and Ngo Thi Thuy Dung.

The four-day competition has brought together nearly 500 athletes from 25 countries and territories. The athletes compete in the combat and performance categories.
The first Taekwondo gold medal of the Vietnamese team went to trio Nguyen Thi Kim Ha, Le Tran Kim Uyen and Ngo Thi Thuy Dung.
Tran Ho Duy earned a gold medal in the category of poomsae, male individual of over 17 years old.
The third gold medal went to the mixed double poomsae team of over 17 years old.
Concluding the first competing day, Vietnamese athletes won 3 gold, 5 silver, and 8 bronze medals in 9 events.
