Vietnam wishes for a stable and growing future for Thailand
(VOVworld) - Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung welcomed General Prawit Wongsuwon, the Thai Deputy PM and Defence Minister, in Hanoi on Wednesday, where he reiterated Vietnam’s wish for a stable and growing future for Thailand.

Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung said Vietnam wants to work with Thailand to implement collaborative programs towards their strategic partnership and their common development, for peace, stability, cooperation, and development in the ASEAN region and around the world. Speaking highly of the outcomes of talks between Prawit Wongsuwon and Vietnamese Defence Minister Phung Quang Thanh, the Prime Minister suggested both sides initiate signed agreements and continue coordinating in conducting joint sea patrols and addressing other fishing-related issues. The Vietnamese government leader also called for increased efforts to step up cooperation in trade, investment, tourism, and transportation. He said that the government welcomes and creates favorable conditions for Thai investors to conduct long-term business in Vietnam, and encouraged accelerated negotiation of a memorandum of understanding on labor cooperation.
