Vietnam works towards a green, safe, equal future for women and girls
(VOVWORLD) - Vietnam is making continuous efforts to bring about a green, safe, equal and fully empowered future for all women and girls. On this journey, Vietnam wishes to continue to receive the support of the United Nations and its member states, said Minister of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs Dao Ngoc Dung.

He addressed the 66th Annual Session of the United Nations Commission on the Status of Women themed "Achieving gender equality and the empowerment of all women and girls in the context of climate change, environmental and disaster risk reduction policies and programmes" this week at the UN headquarters.
Minister Dung emphasized that as climate change is evolving more and more serious, Vietnam calls on countries to fully honor their commitments on climate finance to support developing countries, especially those most affected, to respond to climate change and realize gender equality.
The 66th session of the United Nations Commission on the Status of Women is taking place from March 14 to 25 in New York with representatives of nearly 200 member countries attending.
