Vietnam-China enhance people-to-people diplomacy
(VOVworld) - A delegation of the Vietnam-China Friendship Association, headed by its President Vu Xuan Thang, paid a working visit to China from August 17-23 to seek ways to strengthen people-to-people diplomacy.

Speaking at a reception for the delegation on Friday, Vice Chairman of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference’s National Committee Su Rong spoke highly of the Association’s activities to intensify friendship and mutual understanding between the two peoples. He expressed his hope that the Association will make more practical contributions to strengthening strategic trust and cooperation between Vietnam and China. Thang affirmed that on the basis of common views agreed by the two countries’ high-ranking leaders, the Association will organise more exchanges between the two peoples to enhance their friendship, strategic trust and mutual understanding, thus contributing to deepening the Vietnam-China comprehensive strategic cooperative partnership. Earlier, the delegation held talks with the Chinese People’s Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries and the China-Vietnam Friendship Association. The two sides agreed on organizing activities in the future, aiming to create a playing ground for all people from both nations to meet, exchange and boost cooperation.
