(VOVWorld) - A Cuban official is optimistic that the ties of friendship and solidarity between Vietnam and Cuba are developing well. Yolanda Ferrer, President of the Cuba-Vietnam Friendship Association, made this statement in a report summarizing the organization’s activities last year and the first quarter of this year. During its annual meeting in Havana on Friday, Ferrer reviewed her organization’s activities, focusing on the meeting with Vietnamese Party General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong during his  recent official visit to Cuba. She thanked the Vietnamese Party, Government and people for their support and solidarity with the Cuban people.
