At the meeting, President Salvar Kiir Mayardit emphasized that South Sudan wishes to promote multifaceted cooperation with Vietnam.

For his part, Ambassador Nguyen Huy Dung expressed his honor to become Vietnam's first Ambassador to South Sudan. He affirmed his determination to promote the friendly and cooperative relationship between the two countries in the coming time, on both bilateral and multilateral levels.
