Vietnamese doctors provide health check-ups, distribute medicine in Laos

(VOVWORLD) -A team of Vietnamese doctors conducted medical examination for disadvantaged overseas Vietnamese and Lao citizens over the weekend in Vientiane and gave gifts to 500 those in difficult circumstances, each gift worth 1 million VND (43 USD).

The program was organized by the Committee for Overseas Vietnamese in Ho Chi Minh City, the Vietnamese Embassy in Laos, and the Vietnamese Association in Vientiane.
Pharmacist Cao Thi Minh Tuyet said: “When we learned that overseas Vietnamese were facing many difficulties, especially health problems, we registered to participate in this program. We provided health check-ups in internal medicine, oriental medicine, ophthalmology, and pharmacy. We cooperated with volunteer interpreters to better serve disadvantaged overseas Vietnamese and Lao people.”
