 Ambassador Ton Sinh Thanh said Vietnam and India are important partners and India is opening its education market by providing many scholarships for foreign students, especially those from ASEAN members like Vietnam. He added that this is a good opportunity for Vietnamese students who want to know more about India and contribute to cooperation between the two countries.

The young members said that they have learned much from their peers from India and other regional countries and were impressed by the host’s hospitality. Through the visit, they have been made better aware of India, its people and development, particularly its advanced technology and high professionalization.

The ASEAN – India Student Exchange Program aims to boost the understanding between ASEAN and India in culture and economics and is for students from ASEAN members. The program often takes place across 11 days during May.
