Vietnamese, Lao leaders vow to boost special ties

In his address, Party leader Nguyen Phu Trong highlighted the significance of the Lao leader’s visit: "More than ever, the two Parties, States and people need to work together to promote their traditional of solidarity and help each other make our revolution a success toward the goal of socialism. The Vietnamese Party, State, and people will forever maintain and bolster the traditional friendship, special solidarity and comprehensive cooperation with Laos for prosperity and happiness of the two peoples, and for peace, stability, cooperation and development in the region and the world.”
Lao Party leader and President Bounnhang Vorachith expressed his belief in Vietnam’s further success in national development: "Once again, on behalf of the Lao Party, State, and people, we would like to express our sincere thanks and gratitude to Vietnam for supporting us in our revolutionary cause, past struggle, and current development. We will do our best to maintain and promote the traditional friendship and solidarity created by President Ho Chi Minh and President Kayson Phomvihan and fostered by generations of the two countries.”
