Vietnamese leaders condole over death of Jiang Zemin
(VOVWORLD) -Upon the passing of Jiang Zemin, former General Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China and former President of China, Party General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong, President Nguyen Xuan Phuc, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh, and National Assembly Chairman Vuong Dinh Hue on Friday sent condolences to Party General Secretary and President of China Xi Jinping, Premier of China Li Keqiang, Chairman of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress Li Zhanshu and Mr. Jiang Zemin's family.

The telegrams affirm that Mr. Jiang Zemin was an outstanding leader of the Chinese Party and State, who made great contributions to the revolutionary cause and construction of socialism with Chinese characteristics, and made an important contribution to the normalization and development of Vietnam-China relations.
The Party, State and people of Vietnam always treasure and remember the great contributions of former Party General Secretary and President Jiang Zemin to the relations between the two Parties and two countries.
On Friday afternoon delegations of the Party, State, Government, National Assembly and Vietnam Fatherland Front led by President Nguyen Xuan Phuc paid tribute to the former leader at the Chinese Embassy in Vietnam.
