(VOVworld) – The Overseas Vietnamese Association and the Vietnamese embassy in Angola have held a ceremony to celebrate the new year.

Association Vice President Pham Van Duc reviewed the association’s activities in 2014 including meetings to show support for Vietnam’s sovereignty in the East Sea and donations worth 65,000 USD to support Vietnamese marine police, fishery surveillance forces, and fishermen. Ambassador Do Ba Khoa called on the Vietnamese people and businesses in Angola to continue contributing to the homeland. 3,600 USD was raised at the ceremony for the Association’s future activities.
