Vietnamese President receives leaders of Japanese prefectures
(VOVWORLD) - President Vo Van Thuong on Wednesday received the Governor of Fukuoka prefecture and leaders of Nagasaki, Miyazaki, Saga, Kagoshima prefectures in the Kyushu region, as part of his ongoing official visit to Japan.

Mr. Thuong asked the Japanese officials to make greater efforts to realize the new relationship framework by promoting cooperation with Vietnamese localities through exchange activities.
He called for more investment in Vietnam from Kyushu enterprises, especially in processing, manufacturing, smart agriculture, and wastewater treatment, and greater cooperation in human resources training.
The Japanese said the region is ready to strengthen collaboration with Vietnamese localities and wants to receive more skilled workers and technical apprentices from Vietnam.
Fukuoka Governor Hattori Seitaro said he wants to resume the Study Tour to Vietnam program for high school students to enhance mutual understanding.

The Governors of Miyazaki, Saga, and Kagoshima prefecture said the Kyushu region wants to promote cooperation in human resources, and receive more Vietnamese people to work and study there.
The Deputy Governor of Kagoshima said he will promote regular flights between the prefecture and Vietnam to strengthen economic and tourism cooperation.
President Thuong also received leaders of the Japan-Vietnam Expert Association and the Kyushu-Vietnam Friendship Association on Wednesday.
