(VOVworld) – Prime
Minister Nguyen Tan Dung has approved the establishment of the Vietnam-Japan University, a public tertiary institute
under the Vietnam National University-Hanoi.
The Vietnam-Japan University
will be built in Hoa Lac High- Tech
Park, Thach That district, west of Hanoi, on a 75-hectare
area. Its total investment is 365 million USD, including more than 200 million
USD of official development aid from the Japanese government, 13 million USD of
non-refundable aid from the Japanese government, 52 million USD from Vietnam’s counterpart funding, and 100 million USD
sponsored by Japanese firms.

The school plans
to offer majors related to medical science, biology, energy, automobile,
materials, and business administration. Japanese language and culture will also
be included in the syllabus.
