The opening of the Vietnam-Laos Youth Friendship Exchange

The event is designed for youth unions and young people of the two countries to learn more about the traditional relations, special solidarity and comprehensive co-operation between the two parties, states and peoples. The two Youth Unions will review their cooperative activities over the last 5 years and sign a new agreement to lead towards 2022.

Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh Youth Union, Le Quoc Phong, said: “Young people of both nations are proud of their country’s revolutionary history and the Vietnam-Lao special friendship and solidarity built by President Ho Chi Minh and Presidents Cayxon Phomvihan and Xuphanuvong  and nurtured by generations of leaders and peoples of both countries. The close relationship between the two parties, states, and people is praised as higher any mountain, longer than any river, wider than the ocean, more beautiful than the moon, and more fragrant than any flower.”

The exchange program will run in Hanoi and Nghe An and Ha Tinh provinces until Sunday.
