(VOVworld) – Vietnam and Russia have held the 5^th annual strategic dialogue on diplomacy, defence and security. The Vietnamese delegation to Friday’s talks in Ho Chi Minh city was led by Deputy Foreign Minister Ho Xuan Son and the Russian delegation was headed by Deputy Foreign Minister Andrey Ivanovich Denisov.

Both sides informed each other of their respective situation and exchanged views on measures to boost bilateral ties. They also discussed the coordination of actions between the two countries at the United Nations and other international forums, especially in regional connectivity mechanism.

On Friday, Chairman of Ho Chi Minh city’s People’s Committee Le Hoang Quan received Deputy FM Denisov. Both sides agreed to uphold the traditional friendship between Ho Chi Minh city and cities of Russia to match the strategic partnership between the two countries. Chairman Quan called on Russia to facilitate the city’s investors in Russia’s Far East region.
