(VOVWORLD) - Vietnam earned 2.9 billion USD from the export of agriculture, fishery and forestry products to ASEAN over the past 7 months, up 14% from the same period last year, said the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development.

Rice and coffee are the two export items with the highest growth in Indonesia, the Philippines, and Singapore, thanks to abundant resources and good quality. In the remaining months of this year, the export of these products is expected to increase.
Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development Phung Duc Tien said that the market structure has changed greatly.
"We need to focus on products with rapid growth and strong international market demand, and expand the export of forestry and fishery products. In the coming months, we will focus on China, Europe, Japan, and the US while, at the same time, strengthening our traditional markets," he said.
