Da Nang City and Quang Nam province also saw heavy rain leaving several streets and residential areas submerged in water. Pham Thanh Phuc, Chairman of the Board of Danang Urban Environment Joint Stock Company, said: "Torrential rain has made trash from upper streams coming down to the beach. Our company has mobilized staff to clean up roads of Truong Sa, Hoang Sa, and Nguyen Tat Thanh to ensure environmental hygiene for tourism services."

Heavy rain in Phu Yen province has led to landslides and traffic congestions in some lower areas. Tran Huu The, Deputy Chairman of Phu Yen provincial People’s Committee said the local authorities are now helping the local people whose houses collapsed or were damaged during the rain to stabilize their lives.

"We’re supporting those in need with money to overcome the natural disaster’s aftermaths. We’re also stepping measures for better flood and storm prevention. All scenarios are devised and checked to minimize possible loss," said Mr. The.
