Vietnam’s confirmed Covid-19 cases jump to 113
(VOVWORLD) - For the first time since the novel coronavirus broke out, Vietnam has recorded 19 infection cases in a single day, bringing the total number of infections in the country to 113.
Amongst the new patients, seven live in Hanoi capital and the remaining 12 live in the south, including six in Ho Chi Minh City, four in Dong Thap province, and two in An Giang province, according to the Ministry of Health.
Most of the new patients are students studying abroad. They mainly flew back to Vietnam from the UK and France.
As of Sunday evening, Vietnam has confirmed 113 Covid-19 cases in 16 cities and provinces across the country. Most of the cases came from Europe and the US.
Of the total, 17 have fully recovered and been discharged from hospital. The remaining 96 patients are receiving treatment at hospitals, with some cases showing signs of health deterioration.
