In a report on Vietnam’s macroeconomy in the first quarter, released on Monday, the Vietnam Institute for Economic and Policy Research forecasts that Vietnam’s economy will recover from the third quarter in the best scenario and from the end of this year in the worse scenario.
“I don’t think that our investment climate is less attractive than other countries. We have institutional advantages but Vietnamese businesses should adopt a new strategy to take a bigger step in the global supply and value chains,” said economist Pham Sy Thanh of the Vietnam Institute for Economic and Policy Research.
