This is the first time the world-renowned publisher has printed a Vietnamese book. At the launch ceremony, Ms. Phuong said she wants the book to convey a message that East and West can learn from each other and Asian women are making their mark. She added that when small companies combine their knowledge and ideas, they can successfully manage their fortunes and even compete with major business groups.

Written in English with co-authors British reporter Jackie Horne and American business expert John Kador, “Competing with Giants” is the result of a 4-year study by Tran Uyen Phuong after she completed a leadership training program at Harvard University in 2012.

The book tells the story of a family company in the business environment of Vietnam as it changed to a market economy. It touches on business management methods during global integration and competition between local businesses and multi-national groups.

The book is available on amazon.com.
