Vietnam’s garment exports increase sharply in H1
(VOVWORLD) - Vietnam earned 14.6 billion USD from garment and textile export in the first half of the year, 11% higher than the same period last year.
Silk and fibre exports took the lead and were followed by garments. Director General of Vietnam Apparel Group Le Tien Truong said the Vietnamese apparel sector still faces potential risks due to global market instability, the negative impact of the US administration’s trade protection policy, and Fed’s interest rate rise. Vietnam intends to earn 31 billion USD from apparel exports in total this year, up 11% against last year.
