Vietnam's GDP growth rate in 2018 highest in 11 years
(VOVWORLD) - Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc said on Thursday Vietnam realized a GDP growth rate of 7.08% this year, the highest in the past 11 years.

At the government’s monthly meeting for December, the Prime Minister said Vietnam earned an export surplus of 7 billion USD this year and has seen good results in other economic sectors. At the meeting, cabinet members discussed proposals on drafting revised laws on Vietnamese guest workers and administrative violations, and a revised ordinance on revolutionary contributors.
Concerning the report that 152 Vietnamese tourists fled in Taiwan, China, Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports, and Tourism Le Quang Tung said that the Ministry detected a ring of illegally sending Vietnamese people overseas as tourists. The Ministry has sent the information gathered to the Ministry of Public Security for further investigation.
