(VOVworld) – The Vietnam Permanent Mission to the UN, the WTO and other international organizations in Geneva, Switzerland on Saturday met with overseas Vietnamese to celebrate Vietnam’s 68^th National Day. The Vietnamese embassy in Bern also held a banquet in celebration of this event. Switzerland was one of the first western countries to recognize the Democratic Republic of Vietnam. A similar ceremony was also held this week by the Vietnamese embassy in Venezuela. Ambassador Ngo Tien Dung said that Vietnam is integrating into the international community and boosting its relations with all countries and partners on the basis of mutual respect and benefit. He also expressed his pleasure at Venezuela’s stability and development in all areas.
