The Ministry said the new passport format is elaborately designed. On each page is an iconic image of the landscape, national sovereignty, and cultural heritages of the country such as Ha Long Bay, Hue Imperial City, Hung Temple, Hoi An Ancient Town, My Son Sanctuary, Nha Rong Wharf, Lung Cu Flagpole, and To Vo Gate of Ly Son Island.

The new popular passport is applied with security techniques that is difficult to counterfeit, it said.
