(VOVworld) – A forum opened in Seoul in the Republic of Korea, on Wednesday to introduce Vietnam’s tourism potential and create a forum for travel agents from the two countries to seek partnerships and boost cooperation.
This is part of the Vietnam Tourism and Culture Week held by the Vietnam Administration of Tourism in Seoul and Gwangchu until next Monday.
The Ambassador to the RoK, Pham Huu Chi said that Vietnam and the RoK have great potential for promoting culture and tourism exchange, including golf tourism, and that if there is close coordination between travel and aviation agents, hotels and golf courses, the tourism businesses in both countries can provide cheap golf tours, attracting more Koreans to Vietnam.
Chi urged relevant Korean agencies to relax immigrant requirements, making it easier for more Vietnamese people to visit the RoK.
The RoK ranks second among those countries with the highest number of visitors to Vietnam over the past five years.
Vietnam welcomed 750,000 Korean people last year and nearly 550,000 so far this year alone.
