Vietnam’s trade surplus hits 4 billion USD in H1
(VOVWORLD) - Vietnam had a trade surplus of 4 billion USD in the first half of 2020, according to the General Statistics Office (GSO).
For January-June, Vietnam’s export-import turnover totaled 240 billion USD, down 2.1 percent. Exports were estimated to be 122 billion USD. Exports of mobile phones and parts earned 21.5 billion USD.
The US was the biggest export market for Vietnam in the period with more than 30 billion USD, up 10 percent. China was second with 19.5 billion, followed by the EU with 16 billion and ASEAN with more than 11 billion.
