Vietnam’s U23 team awarded first-class Labor Order
(VOVWORLD) -Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc on Sunday gave a warm welcome to the Vietnamese team on their return as runners-up of the Asian Football Confederation U23 Championship in China.

He awarded the first-class Labor Order to the team and the third-class Labor Order to head coach Park Hang-seo, a Republic of Korea national, and to midfielder Nguyen Quang Hai and goal keeper Bui Tien Dung for their outstanding performance at the tournament.
Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc said: “Our young football players have performed a miracle for Asian football. Our great victory was the result of the tireless effort of the whole team. We have defeated many strong teams in the region and only lost to Uzbekistan at the very last moment of a 120-minute-game. Our players lost the match but they won the hearts of more the 90 million Vietnamese people. The Fair play Award for Vietnam reflected the team’s solidarity, physical strength, bravery, and self-confidence.”
Prime Minister Phuc praised the role of head coach Park Hang-seo in leading and inspiring confidence in the team and promoting their potential.
