Vietnam-WEF partnership reduces plastic waste, develop circular economy
(VOVWORLD) - Minister of Natural Resources and Environment Tran Hong Ha on Wednesday held a working session with Joo-Ok Lee, Head of the World Economic Forum (WEF)’s Regional Agenda – Asia Pacific, to discuss cooperation in coping with plastic waste and developing the circular economy.

Lee thanked the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment (MoNRE) for backing the activities of the WEF’s National Plastic Action Partnership (NPAP), and said he hopes their support will continue, and that Vietnam will share cooperation models and initiatives to reduce plastic waste and develop the circular economy.
Ha praised the WEF’s recent support for his Ministry in fighting plastic waste and developing a circular economy, and said he hopes the partnership will continue to connect public, private, and social stakeholders in a common approach to reducing plastic waste and plastic pollution, and help Vietnam’s plastic industry transition to a sustainable circular economy model.
