Village patriarchs, prestigious people urged to contribute to national development
(VOVWORLD) - President Vo Van Thuong has urged reputable people and exemplary village heads to make more contributions to national development.

At a meeting with a delegation of prestigious people in the ethnic minority community in Hanoi on Tuesday, the President stressed the importance of preserving and promoting traditional cultural values in enhancing Vietnamese culture diversity.
The President asked Ministries, sectors and localities to effectively implement the national target program on socio-economic development in ethnic minority regions, promote people’s oversight role, and encourage ethnic minority people to strive forward.
President Thuong said: "Our important task is to continue to promote the strength of national great unity to achieve national prosperity and happiness. Each community, village and hamlet need to stay united and enhance solidarity between villages, localities, and ethnic groups and between religious and non-religious people. Each prestigious village chief needs to strive to enhance solidarity."
