(VOVWORLD) -The Red Cross Society of Vinh Phuc province has expected to support at least 4,500 disadvantaged people during the Humanitarian Month 2024 which was launched on Monday.

It will also make a list and connect at least 150 charity addresses, organize 1 project, mobilize sources to build 2 charity houses for people with disabilities, poor people, and Agent Orange victims in difficult circumstances.
Speaking at the launch ceremony, Bui Thi Hoa, Chairwoman of the Vietnam Red Cross Society expressed her hope that the Red Cross Society at all levels in the province, each member and volunteer will join together to build a united community, a civilized and humane society. She hoped that each individual and each organization will further respond to the Humanitarian Month, contributing to implementing the social security policy of the Party and State.
To respond to the Humanitarian Month 2024, the Red Cross Society of Vinh Phuc province has received donations and pledged donations worth 120,000 USD. The Society also coordinated with other local units and philanthropists to present many gifts and scholarships, support the livelihood, and build houses for disadvantaged people in the province.
