(VOVworld) – Permanent member of the Party Secretariat, Le Hong Anh, on Wednesday visited 100 pensioners and heroes of the people’s armed forces in Binh Thuy district, Can Tho city on the occasion of the Lunar New Year.

He asked the municipal Party Committee and authorities to maintain high economic growth and develop the city. He said the city needs to further invest and develop Can Tho into a center of industry, commerce and services. The city was asked to effectively implement social security work, and visit and present Tet gifts to policy beneficiaries, revolutionary contributors and poor households.

On the same day, while visiting the National Traffic Safety Committee, National Assembly Vice Chairman Uong Chu Luu asked the Committee, the Ministry of Transport and localities to further raise the efficiency of state management and raise people’s awareness about traffic safety and culture.

Ho Chi Minh city leaders, led by Le Thanh Hai, Secretary of Ho Chi Minh City Municipal Party Committee, paid new year visits to the border soldiers, poor people and ethnic minority households in Can Gio district.
