Putin will seek reelection as an independent candidate. Now that the commission has accepted his application, Putin must collect voter signatures to support his nomination. At least 300,000 signatures must be presented to the CEC by January 31.
The CEC has scheduled the election for March 15-17, 2024. This will be the first three-day presidential election in Russian history.
