(VOVWORLD) -The battle against corruption in Vietnam is capturing particular public interest.
Several cases involving high-ranking officials have been brought to trial, helping to consolidate people’s trust in the Party and State’s anti-corruption efforts.
“We are delighted to see the Party’s resolve to combat corruption and special interest groups. But the fight should be further intensified and no-holds-barred,” said Dinh Cong Doan, a resident of the Mekong Delta province of An Giang.
Bui Duc Sang of HCM city underlined the need for greater transparency of officials’ assets.
“The Party has done a very good job in the war on corruption. The trial of some severe cases will deter corrupted officials. Asset declarations of public officials must be done strictly and comprehensively, from the central to grassroots level,” Sang noted.
