VOV hosts Welcome Home Program for Overseas Vietnamese
(VOVWORLD) -150 Overseas Vietnamese from countries and territories worldwide gathered at VOV’s headquarters in Hanoi on Friday for the Lunar New Year (Tet) 2023.

At the “Homeland Spring 2023" program, VOV’s Vice President Ngo Minh Hien shared the difficulties of the overseas Vietnamese community over the past two years due to the COVID-19 pandemic, conflicts, and inflation, and thanked OVs for their attention to the Voice of Vietnam.
Mr. Hien said that the meeting has been held annually by VOV since the 1980s to promote traditions and connect with compatriots living far from the nation, especially during Tet.

At the get-together, overseas delegates spoke highly of the role of the Voice of Vietnam as a bridge connecting with the Vietnamese community far from home over the years. VOV’s information has helped them feel closer to the homeland, they said.
