VOV President applauds VTC's 20 years of growth, urges greater changes
(VOVWORLD) - VTC Digital Television Network, an affiliate of the Voice of Vietnam, has grown to a multimedia network connecting millions of viewers.
At a ceremony to mark the 20th anniversary of VTC in Hanoi on Monday, Do Tien Sy, member of the Party Central Committee and President of the Voice of Vietnam, said that over the past 20 years, VTC has contributed to shifting from traditional TV methods to modernity. It has served as an important information channel of the Party and State, a means of communicating the Party guidelines and State law to the people, and reflecting all aspects of life. VTC’s journalists have worked hard and creatively to produce thousands of qualified programs, leaving good impressions on the viewers.
Mr. Sy said VTC’s joining the Voice of Vietnam to carry out the communication tasks has promoted the role of VOV and VTC to the society. He also urged VTC to make greater changes and reform for quicker and better adaptability.
"VTC needs to reform its production of TV programs and its approach to the audiences in a more advanced and effective way so that each piece of information is not only accurate and interesting, but also targets the right audience. It should provide food for thought to the audience,” according to the VOV President.
