(VOVworld) – Damage to the East Sea’s environment and ecology caused by recent military buildups will top the agenda of the annual East Sea conference hosted by the US Center for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS). The event will take place in Washington on July 12
th and will also discuss legal issues and future developments, the East Sea situation in 2016, and militarization and capacity building in the region.

This year’s East Sea conference will coincide with rulings by the Permanent Court of Arbitration on the Philippines’ lawsuit against China’s claims in the East Sea. At a conference also hosted by CSIS in June, it was predicted that the Court will reject China’s “9-dash line” claim.
