(VOVWORLD) - The World Bank said that Afghanistan can avoid an economic collapse if it receives additional international assistance and the interim Taliban administration adheres to basic standards for the treatment of women and girls, respect for human rights, and economic management.

In its latest report, the WB said Afghanistan should take another approach using its agriculture, natural resources, young population, and improved security.
But moving towards this trajectory would require actions by both the international community and the interim Taliban administration, according to the WB.
