(VOVWORLD) - The World Economic Forum (WEF) on Monday postponed its annual meeting in Davos, Switzerland, due to the spread of the Omicron coronavirus variant, putting off the event, scheduled for January 17-21, until mid-2022.
A month before world business and political leaders were due to gather in the Swiss ski resort to address the economic, environmental, political and social issues posed by the COVID-19 pandemic, organizers said they had decided to postpone in light of continued uncertainty over Omicron.
