White House says it is still committed to finding COVID’s origin
(VOVWORLD) - The White House said on Thursday that understanding the origins of COVID-19 remains a key focus of Biden administration and that they will continue pushing for answers.

"It's incredibly important for us to get to the bottom of this," said spokesperson Karine Jean-Pierre.
"Time is of the essence" and the US and its partners will continue to fight for transparency from China, she said.
Beijing has insisted that while Wuhan is where the disease was first detected, it is not necessarily where the virus originated.
It has also denied that the virus originated in a laboratory in the city and in July rejected the World Health Organization’s proposals for the second phase of its investigations into the virus’s origins, which included formal laboratory audits.
