WHO: 'Test every suspected case' of Covid-19
(VOVWORLD) - The World Health Organization has warned that the coronavirus pandemic is a "defining global health crisis of our time", as it urged countries to test all suspected cases.
The WHO’s top official criticized some nations for not doing enough to detect and contain the deadly virus that has infected more than 182,000 people across the world.
There has been a rapid escalation of Covid-19 cases over the past week, but there has not been an urgent enough escalation in testing, isolation and contact tracing, which is the backbone of the response, the WHO chief said Monday.
If they test positive, isolate them and find out who they have been in contact with two days before they developed symptoms and test those people, he noted.
