WHO: Vietnam controls COVID-19 after 5 weeks of efforts
(VOVWORLD) - WHO Chief Representative in Vietnam, Dr Kidong Park, said Vietnam has brought COVID-19 under control after 5 weeks of efforts.

During an interview with VOV, Dr Park attributed the success to early response following the first positive case in Da Nang, strengthening local healthcare system with back-up teams from central level, and transparent communications about pandemic threats. He hailed the government’s drastic instruction since the onset of the pandemic as well as public support to the government.
