(VOVWORLD) - The World Health Organization (WHO) has warned that some disease, which can be prevented by vaccines, can break out when global vaccination plans have been delayed or cancelled due to the COVID-19 outbreak.

WHO Director General Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus said this problem can reduce the meaning of vaccination and prevent the world from completing the Global Vaccine Action Plan for 2011-2020.
According to WHO, at least 14 vaccination projects for polio, measles, cholera, yellow fever, and meningitis have been delayed or cancelled, and vaccination projects in at least 13 countries in 2020 may not be carried out. Nearly 120 million children will not be protected from measles.
