They were selected from  800 entries created by 500 artists and showcase Vietnam’s rich cultural heritage and scenery. The paintings are in a variety of media, including oil, lacquer, acrylic, and silk.

The top prize worth 4,300 USD went to “Khmer Festival in Ca Mau” by Lai Lam Tung, an amateur artist who works for the Ca Mau Petroleum Power Company.

Tung said, "My picture, created over eight months using an iron pen and watercolor, depicts the Sen Dolta festival—a significant annual event for the Khmer people. The picture, which measures one meter by two meters, conveys the essence of this festival, symbolizes gratitude and respect for grandparents, parents, and children, reflecting the cultural tradition of filial piety among the Khmer people."
"Through my artwork, I want to support the preservation of the cultural identity of ethnic groups, particularly the Khmer people," he added.

Outstanding artworks will be displayed at an exhibition from January 16 to 21 at the Vietnam Fine Arts Museum in Hanoi.
